Indians have been looking at smartphones 75 days a year. One third of the time people in the country are using smartphones. About 1800 hours a year is spent looking at phones. Three out of every four Indians continue to use this smartphone. This is affecting the body and mind. The information came out in a report released on Friday.
According to data released by CyberMedia Research joining hands with smartphone maker Vivo, more than half of the members taking part in the survey refused to turn off social media. Many admit that life without a smartphone is not possible. Most of these are easy to talk to virtually with friends and family.
“This survey shows that people's dependence on smartphones has increased. Although smartphones have been the primary communication device in people's lives, many people have realized that sometimes away from this device, the body and the mind will be better. ”Said Prabhu Ram, according to CybeMedia Research.
Smartphone addiction has increased so much that people have reduced their association with friends. Less than 30 percent of people are meeting family members and friends more than once a month.
“In the age of the Internet, children are growing up with digital devices. As a result, the structure of society is changing. As a result, the definition of relationship is changing. Change is the way of expressing human emotions. ”Vivo said in a statement.
The survey was conducted online and in front of eight cities across the country. About 75 percent of people said a smartphone came out of their hands 19 years ago. 41 percent of them said they had been using a smartphone since school.
The survey was run in a total of 2,000 people. Of these, 64 percent are male and 36 percent female.
